Fall.
By far my favorite season of the year, fall is filled with an endless number of things that bring an immense amount of joy and pleasure to my life. Being a lover of all things edible, fall foods may very well top the list of my fall favorites. There is something so relaxing and soul satisfying as sitting down with a giant bowl of hearty soup followed by a slice of home-made apple pie. Mmmmm.
Perhaps my favorite fall recipe of all time is beef and barley stew. The tender round roast and rich vegetables unite in a delightful melody that leave you feeling full, whole, and happy. It is the perfect way to warm your body and soul on a cool autumn evening. Since it would be wrong of me not to share this family favorite with you, I’m sharing my secret recipe (and a printable shopping list to make adding this to this week’s grocery run easy as pumpkin pie) to help you ring in the fall season right. You’re welcome.
