Okay so eating isn’t quite the right term, but she is ingesting it via pills.
Jillian Harris, the vivacious designer and TV personality you might recognize from shows like Love It or List It Too, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, and her boyfriend Justin Passuto recently welcomed their first baby (little Leo!). Jillian shared some real talk on her blog, admitting that she knew she wanted to encapsulate her placenta before even getting pregnant, and that the idea seemed different and radical.
We love introducing the concept of placenta encapsulation to or exploring it safely in a judgment-free way with our clients. It’s okay to make an ick face. It’s okay to have a lot (or few) questions about it. We recognize that it’s an unusual idea to many, and we want you to be totally comfortable asking us about it.
We’re an open book about how we process, and why we do it the way we do, and believe that that’s the way an encapsulator should be.
We’re happy for Jillian that she is feeling so good in her early postpartum period. We can help provide you with that, too!
Check out our Placenta Encapsulation service here or get in touch via phone/email. We’d love to support your postpartum transition.
